Frequently asked questions

What is Stagella?

Stagella is an AI virtual staging app for real estate agents, teams and photographers. You upload a listing photo of an empty or dated room, pick a style, and get the same room furnished in under a minute, labeled “Virtually staged” and linked to the unaltered original.

How much does Stagella cost?

There is a free trial with 10 photos and no credit card. Paid plans are Starter $19/month for 60 photos, Pro $49/month for 175 photos, Team $129/month for 500 photos, Brokerage $449/month for 2000 photos. Yearly billing costs less. That works out to 20¢–32¢ per photo. See pricing.

How long does virtual staging take?

Usually under a minute per photo. You can upload up to 30 photos of a listing at once; each is processed in parallel.

Does Stagella change walls, windows or floors?

Not in the default MLS-safe mode. It only adds, replaces or removes movable items such as furniture, rugs, lamps, art and plants. Walls, windows, doors, floors, cabinets, fixtures and views must stay as photographed. A separate virtual renovation mode can change finishes, and its outputs are labeled “Virtually renovated”. Always compare each output with the original before you publish.

Is virtual staging legal? Do I have to disclose it?

Yes, it is legal when it is disclosed and does not misrepresent the property. California’s AB 723 (Business and Professions Code §10140.8, in force since January 1, 2026) requires a disclosure and access to the original image, and many MLSs have similar rules. See our disclosure rules guide.

Is the “Virtually staged” label added automatically?

Yes. Every export carries a “Virtually staged” label in the listing’s language, and virtual renovations are labeled “Virtually renovated”. In California, also add a statement next to the photo that points to the original, for example “Virtually staged. See the original photo at [link].”

How do buyers see the original photo?

Every staged image is permanently linked to a hosted page that shows the unaltered original next to the staged version, with a short link and a QR code you can add to the listing.

Can I upload the images to my MLS?

On paid plans, exports carry only the “Virtually staged” label, with no Stagella branding; free-trial exports add a small “Staged with Stagella” mark. The label is part of the image. Some MLSs ask for more: CRMLS also wants a label in the photo description and the original next to the staged photo, and San Diego MLS forbids text on photos. A label-free export is not available yet. See MLS rules.

What resolution are the downloads?

Up to 1K on the free trial, 2K on Starter and 4K on Pro, Team, Brokerage.

What counts as a credit?

One credit is one processed photo. The first re-render of each photo is free, and generations that fail are refunded automatically.

Which styles and rooms are supported?

13 styles: Modern, Contemporary, Minimalist, Scandinavian, Japandi, Industrial, Mid-century, Traditional, Rustic, Boho, Coastal, Mediterranean and Luxury. Room types: living room, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, home office, kids’ room, balcony and outdoor spaces. The room type is detected automatically and can be changed.

Will the furniture match across different photos of the same room?

Not yet. Each photo is staged independently, so two angles of the same room can show different furniture. Pick the angle that presents the room best, or stage each angle in the same style.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, in one click from Billing. Monthly plans are billed monthly with no surprise annual charge, you keep access until the end of the paid period, and you can get a full refund within 7 days if you used under 20% of your credits.

Do you use my photos to train AI models?

No. Photos are processed by our AI providers under paid-tier terms that exclude training, and you can delete them at any time.

Which languages are supported?

The app is available in English and Spanish, and disclosure labels follow the listing’s language (“Virtually staged” or “Amueblado virtualmente”).
